The Challenge

Our customer is a homeowner in a suburban neighbourhood. They had decided to expand their living space by adding a new extension and were looking to create a bright and open environment that allowed natural light to flood in. In addition, they were keen to preserve their scenic views so they could appreciate their well-kept garden. To bring this vision to life, they contact our team at Bifold Shop.

We were tasked with designing and installing a three-pane sliding door and a large picture window within the newly built extension. We focused on the challenges our customer faced, including optimising natural light intake and offering uninterrupted views of their surrounding garden. • Three-Pane Sliding Door – We recommended and installed a three-pane sliding door, designed with energy-efficient glazing and modern, slimline frames. The door spans the entire width of the extension and consists of large glass panels that allow an abundance of natural light to flow into the space. When opened, the door creates a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor living areas.

• Large Picture Window – On the angled wall, we installed a large picture window. This was carefully positioned to capture the breathtaking views of the garden. The window’s design incorporated high performance, 6mm low-E glass to help maintain indoor temperatures while preventing UV from damaging any furnishings.

• Aesthetic Considerations – The sliding door and picture window were custom-designed to elevate the house’s interiors. The frames and finishes were chosen to complement the overall design, creating a cohesive but modern look.
