Cortizo Plus Bifold Door Installation in Central London

The Challenge

Our client, based in Central London, wanted to update their property with a bifold door system opening onto an outdoor balcony. They were looking to maximise natural light in this space and provide uninterrupted views of the city skyline.

The challenge was twofold:

• The project was a busy central London location, requiring an overnight operation to minimise disruption, including an overnight road closure and crane hire.
• The bifold doors also need to perform reliably in a high-traffic commercial environment, exposed to wind, weather and frequent use.

Bifold Shop’s Solution

Whilst most Londoners were settling down for a Sunday evening, our installation team were hard at work. Working overnight, we installed a 9-panel Cortizo Plus bifold door, finished in 8019M external/white internal bifold door finish and fitted with Aqua Solar laminated glass.

This combination delivers a modern style, solar control and durability, making it ideal for a busy workplace exposed to the elements (more information on weatherproof bifold doors here). The folding design allows the panel to stack neatly to one side, creating an easy indoor-outdoor flow, while the expansive glass panels frame the breathtaking panoramic views of the London skyline.

By 6:19am, the installation was complete – and the Bifold Shop team had time to watch the sunrise across London through the freshly fitted bifold doors!
